Jars of (1).png

Jars of Joy is a simple kindness project, created to share the beauty of our fields with people who could use a lift. Twice a month during our flower season, we invite volunteers to the farm to pick a free mason jar of flowers and deliver it to someone who might need encouragement — at no cost to the picker or the recipient.

These jars have made their way to friends facing hardship, nursing home residents, widows and widowers, teachers, caregivers, and neighbors who simply needed a reminder that someone cares. Every delivery becomes a small moment of connection and hope.

How It Works

Twice a month, we open five volunteer spots to community members who want to participate. Volunteers come to the farm on the designated Friday, pick their flowers, create their arrangement, and deliver it that same day or shortly after. We love hearing the stories that follow — each one reinforces why this program exists.

Our Hope

Jars of Joy is our way of sharing the blessings of our farm in a tangible, meaningful way. We grow flowers, but we also believe in growing connection, compassion, and kindness. This program allows us — and our volunteers — to lift spirits, spread hope, and brighten someone’s day with something as simple and beautiful as a jar full of blooms.

"I was so pleased to have the opportunity to participate in your Jars of Joy campaign. I visited your beautiful farm around noon yesterday and had a lovely time snipping blooms of all shapes, sizes and colors.

My Mom passed away in February, and I thought of her and her love for both flowers and bright colors. She would have enjoyed these so much. I brought my Jar of Joy to my Dad. After 60+ years of marriage, he is still adjusting to life without Mom. We all are. Just the day before we’d spent hours going through her extensive jewelry collection, full of bright, wild colors. Her personality was bright and wild, too.

Mom’s presence is dearly missed, but your flowers brought smiles and happy memories of Mom to both me and Dad. Thank you so much."
